From Brussels: Day Trip to Ghent with Atomium

Begin the full-day tour to Ghent by boarding a bus at Brussels Central Station at the scheduled time. Before leaving Brussels behind, we'll make a stop at the emblematic Atonium. We'll admire the monument, standing at more than 100 meters (328 ft) high and the spheres of about 18 meters (59 ft) in diameter representing the nine provinces of Belgium before continuing on our way. Explore Ghent with a Spanish-speaking guide and learn the history at sights such as the 13th-century Castle of Gerald the Devil and St. Bavo's Cathedral, where you can see “The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb” by the Van Eyck brothers.  Hear why Ghent's inhabitants are known as "noose-bearers“ as you visit the Belfry of Ghent and the Town Hall. Go to St. Nicholas’ Church and the Masons’ Guild Hall and see the quay side buildings of the Graslei. Visit medieval Gravensteen castle and enter the pretty Patershol neighborhood. Explore Ghent's trading history at the Great Butchers’ Hall, Old Fish Market and Friday Market. Get 4 hours of free time for lunch and to stroll on your own.

Beautiful excursion! Excellent general organization with punctuality in the times. Vasco (the guide) was very prepared, he enriched the walk with many curiosities and advice (not only about Ghent)! Even though the tour was over he gave his availability for more time to guide us in other areas of Ghent, such as the street of murals! Ghent is a jewel and I recommend enjoying it fully by dedicating a whole day to it without "dividing it" into tours in combination with other cities such as Bruges or Antwerp!
