Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby and you’ll head to the Dujingyan Center, a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas. On a guided tour, visit different sections of the center to get a full overview of a panda’s development. Visit the baby garden, where you can see giant panda cubs born in summer, Then stop at the sub-adult garden, where the adolescent pandas hang out, and see the adult garden, which houses the giant pandas in all their full-grown glory. Take pictures of this endangered species eating bamboo, sleeping or frolicking about. 07:00-07:30am The driver/guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and take you to the Dujiang Yan Panda Base. The duration takes about 1.5 hours. 09:00am You will start your daily project, your experience will consist of working closely with panda keepers and the pandas in their enclosures. In the morning, your main duties will be to clean the panda enclosures, prepare fresh bamboo for the pandas. 12:00pm Lunch Time(Buffet) 13:00pm-14:30pm Watch a movie to learn more about the Giant Pandas. Make panda cakes for the pandas . Expand your knowledge of thisincredible animal by learning from experts and get a certificate acknowledging your work as a panda volunteer. 15:30pm The project ends and then drive back to Chengdu. Your Attention Please: **Extra CNY/yan will be charged if you do the project in Wolong Panda Base instead of Dujiangyan Panda Base. It happens when Dujiangyan Panda Base is fully booked. **The trip we arranged is cooperated with Dujiang Yan/Wolong Panda Base. Travelers who will join the trip, please fully understand the conditions for which we will send to you. **Even after we have accepted your application to arrange your trip and confirmed the itinerary, it is still subject to change in the case of natural disaster, cancellation caused by governmental order, or other factors that we are not able to predict. 8:00 am-9:00 am: Preparation Your guide and driver will pick you up at about 7:20 and escort you to the panda base. After arrival, sigh up and put on work clothes and gloves. The experienced keepers will tell you what to do, and your tour guide will be always by your side, interpreting for you and helping you take photos. 9:00 am-10:00 am: Prepare bamboos for Pandas and Watch the keeper feeding a panda at a very close distance You will break bamboos and wash some bamboos shoots for pandas . Watch the keeper feeding a panda at a very close distance.It is a good chance for you to observe pandas and get a close encounter with them. 10:00 am-11:30 am: Visit other enclosures Roam around the base and take a visit to have a look of more giant pandas and red pandas. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things--eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. Observing the keepers feeding the pandas up close.. 11:30 am-13:30 pm: Have a lunch break A simple Chinese lunch is provided in the canteen, usually consisting of two meat dishes and one vegetable dish, with rice and porridge also available. It is highly recommended that you bring some snacks in case the food doesn't suit your taste. 13:30 pm- 14:00 pm: Watch panda documentary movie Watch a panda documentary to understand better why we should protect them and how we do so. 14:00 pm-14:30 pm: Make panda cakes Like human-beings, pandas also have their special snacks-panda cakes, “wowotou”. The ingredients are healthy and delicious. It is time for you to make some panda cakes by hand under the guidance of experienced nutritionists. 14:30 pm- 15:00 pm: Get a certificate After a whole day’s work, you will receive a certificate for the unforgettable day. Then, your guide and driver will escort you back to Chengdu.

Itinerary: 7:30am-8:30am: Pick up from Chengdu downtown hotel and drive to Dujiangyan Panda Base. 8:30am-11:30am: Observe giant and red pandas and take pictures. 11:30am-1:00pm: Drive to Dujiangyan downtown via Zhongshuge bookstore in a mall, known as the only Hogwarts Library in China. Lunch at one of the various restaurants. 1:00pm-4:30pm: Visit the irrigation system, temples, and gardens. 4:30pm-6:00pm: Drive back to Chengdu downtown hotel via highway. Note: please feel free to contact us for a customized tour. The panda park is a post-earthquake reconstruction project funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It is home to over 50 giant pandas and 20 red pandas, including some born overseas who have returned to China. Visitors may have a chance encounter with familiar pandas. As a former worker at the Wolong base, I have some friends here too. The Dujiangyan irrigation system, constructed around 256 BC, is an ancient ecological engineering feat that uses natural topography and hydrology to divert water for irrigation, drain sediment, and control floods without dams. Located on the Minjiang River and Mount Yulei, it is also a great place to experience nature."

You will start your day by visiting the Dujiangyan Panda Base, where you will see the pandas up close, and learn how they are rescued and cared for by the dedicated staff. Compare with Chengdu panda base, there are much less crowds but the pandas are more active. You will then enjoy a scrumptious lunch at a local restaurant or you can try some Sichuan food cooked with green tea leaves. After lunch, you will head to a green tea plantation, where you will immerse yourself in the greenery and tranquility of the tea fields. You will learn how to pick the best tea leaves, and how to roast and brew them into a fragrant and refreshing cup of green tea. More important, you will also take your own hand-made tea back home as a souvenir. 7：30 am- 9：00 am Pick you up at hotel and then drive to Dujiangyan panda park. 9:00 am-12:00 am Visit the panda park to see all the Giant pandas & Red pandas. 12:00 am-13:00 Lunch 13:00-15:00 Drive to the green tea plantation. Dressed up with local hood, apron, and bamboo basket. Walk into the green tea plantation and pick up as much tea leave as you can.
