Full description
Embark on an immersive food and history tour to some of the most picturesque locations in Croatia– Orašac , Ston, and Mali Ston. Led by an expert guide, taste wine, sample seafood, and learn about the ancient production of olive oil, all the while soaking up the intricate history of the area. The tour begins with a pleasant bus ride along the exquisite Adriatic coastline stopping-off firstly at the quaint village of Orašac. In a typical old-fashioned house, you will experience the traditional production method of olive oil, with the mill driven by a horse. Take the opportunity to taste some home made cheese, smoked ham, and wine. Afterwards continue towards the small town of Stone, the oyster capital of Croatia. This little town appears like a mini Dubrovnik in its picturesque architecture and atmosphere. Especially interesting are the magnificent walls surrounding the town. Construction began on these walls in 1317, and they were finished in the 16th century. After visiting Ston enjoy a relaxing walk along the sea in the town of Mali Ston. Here you can admire views over the oyster and mussel farms and taste the famous seafood of the region in a local restaurant.

Great

The visit to the mill was very interesting, the tasting of oil and local products was very good, and in a very beautiful setting, on the terrace of a family farm with a view of the immense garden and the bay in the background. In the afternoon, the tasting of fish and seafood was plentiful, there were mussels, grilled fish, a fish pâté and salad. There was the possibility of tasting oysters, at an additional cost.

Well, we would recommend it, but the oysters were missing during the fish tasting - one could have been.
