  • Level of fitness: moderate
  • Minimum age is 8 years and children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Please bring comfortable walking shoes, water (1.5 liters minimum), a hat, sun glasses, sun block, and a picnic lunch (or you can have lunch at a small local fish restaurant)
  • Not recommended for participants with back problems
  • Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions
  • If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

This was definitely the highlight of our entire trip! Kolocep island is absolutely gorgeous and we had a wonderful guide who showed us around the lesser known parts of the island. For the main part of the hike our small group encountered under five people and it was a very refreshing break from the very busy old town in Dubrovnik. Our guide brought us to this really lovely family run restaurant where we had one of the best meals on our trip. It was definitely a 10/10 experience for us!

We booked the tour expecting to be part of a group but ended up being the only ones so had our very own private tour! We met our guide Zjelka in the port ti catch the ferry to Kolocep and once we arrived she got straight into the hike! As there were just the two of us (plus our guide) we were able to see more of the island than we might have done had the group been larger. It is a very beautiful island and the knowledge and passion Zjelka has for the area only enhanced the experience. We stopped for a picnic lunch in a secluded bay and had a swim in the surprisingly chilly sea! Zjelka also showed us a place we could jump from a cliff into a deep pool but I’m afraid that was one feat of adventure too far for me! A throughly recommended activity for anyone wanting to see Kolocep and learn something about the island’s history as you wander through the warren of paths!
