Full description

See why Dubrovnik was chosen as the filming location for King's Landing on a Game of Thrones themed tour of the city. In the show, Dubrovnik is the capital of the Seven Kingdoms, and it serves as the perfect setting for a captivating imaginary world. This tour will take you to Old Town, Lovrijenac (Red Keep), and Lokrum Island (City of Qarth).

See where some of Game of Throne's most intense, plot-twisting moments were filmed. Then, board a ferry and visit Lokrum Island, which has been turned into a Game of Thrones visitor center. It's here that you can see the Iron Throne, gifted to Dubrovnik by HBO, and take a photo with it.

The island is Dubrovnik's green jewel and many locals relax here after a long summer's day. Peacocks and bunnies are the island's only residents and they are very friendly. The tour finishes on the island and you can decide whether you'd like to return to Old Town or spend the rest of the day on the island. If you choose the latter, bring along your swim gear, a towel, and sunscreen to enjoy the beautiful rocky beaches.

Keep in mind that all visitors must leave the island with the last ferry at the latest. Overnight stays are not allowed. The island is a protected forest reserve.

We were a group of four friends, and we booked this tour based on prior reviews. We are so glad that we booked this tour!! We were lucky enough to have Andrea as our guide. She was wonderful! The time just flew by--we saw a lot in the time that we had. One of our friends had never seen GOT, and Andrea made sure to include some Croatian history mixed with GOT history, so everyone was entertained. We loved every minute of the tour. Dubrovnik is a beautiful city. We all agreed that this was the BEST thing that we did on our trip. We highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was Marko who combined great GOT knowledge, enthusiasm and humour. It was 3 hours really well spent and great fun. Marko takes you to several GOT filming locations as well as having the background stories. Excellent guide 10/10. Thanks Marko.

This was an amazing tour, Marko our guide, from DuTheTour, was funny and had lots if interesting stories to share about what the actors were doing while filming the show, even though he wasn't living in Dubronvik while some of the the filming took place he had gone through the trouble of finding out some fun stories. We saw sets from all over the city, from the fort to the "Shave" stairs (you will find out what those are when you take the tour with Marko ;) and finally we went to Lokrum Island which is the Island were scenes from Quarth were filmed. Me and my husband did the 3 hrs tour and left the group on the Island, but they also have a 7 hrs tour which continues on to the Botanical gardens outside the city. We finally spent some solo time exploring the Island for the rest of the day, which is fun to do for non GoT fans as well as GoT fans. It has friendly peacocks, bunnies and ruins of a monastery and a fort. We want to thank Marko and DuTheTour for a fun day.
