Full description

Join a guided walking tour and traverse the famous city walls of Dubrovnik, a beautiful reminder of distant medieval times. Marvel at breathtaking views as you walk the 2-kilometer wall surrounding the town and see for yourself why the Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dubrovnik has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant.

Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries.

The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible.

Find out why the city of Dubrovnik has inspired artists, writers and photographers as you explore the ancient Mediterranean city and wander along the elegant walls.

Dasha (?) was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Walls. She was very fluent in English and helpful. She gave extra info on current events like the food festival that just opened that night. This is a great time to see the walls as there was less people and the lighting was great. You get to see the surroundings in daylight but also gets a bit dimmer towards the end and the city lights start to light up giving you a diff view. Highly recommend!

The guide was very knowledgeable, speaking clearly in a perfect English. The whole tour took a bit more than 2h for the 2km walk. We stopped several times along the way, allowing us to rest and take photos. Visiting the city walls without the guided tour would have been a mistake, the guided tour is definitively recommendable and necessary to learn about Croatia, Dubrovnik and the customs of their inhabitants.
