The city has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant. Dubrovnik is among a small few well-preserved medieval cities with 2 kilometer walls surrounding the town allowing for many breathtaking views.
Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries and since 1979, Dubrovnik is UNESCO protected.
