Full description
Travel out of Dublin and into the countryside around on a 5-hour morning or afternoon tour to Glendalough and Wicklow. The tour begins with an introduction to Dublin City, as you head south toward County Wicklow, known affectionately as the Garden of Ireland. Sparkling lakes, dense forests, and romantic babbling brooks make this a spectacular scenic drive and a fine day out from the big city. You will also see the scenery made famous by films such as Braveheart and P.S. I Love You. Make your way over the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough, the valley of the 2 lakes. Enjoy a relaxing walk to the Upper Lake and explore the monastic ruins of St. Kevin's monastery. Then enjoy lush surroundings as you make your way through the Sally Gap before returning to Dublin.

I'm delighted that there is an afternoon half day tour to glendalough, instead of first thing in the morning, which is also provided to glendalough. The driver is extremely informative and interesting to listen to and superb at his job as a guide aswell and I want to take this tour again in the future, thank you Paddy wagon for your service!

was beautiful scenery but 1 hour to get out of Dublin and then 90 minutes at a hotel in Glendalough where we could have coffee or take a beautiful walk which most of us did but i thought we would cover more areas . then very pleasant driver became very unpleasant when he tried to drop all passengers off at one stop in the city when ticket clearly says passengers will be returned to the same location as pick up. he did eventually agree to drop us off at the starting point but it spoiled the trip and it was 15 minutes short of the 5 hours anyway so he wasn't running late.

The tour was excellent and well worth the price. I would not have been able to see these two areas without this tour. I was visiting Ireland with a group tour but these locations were not on our itinerary. Typically if we have time during groups tours, I plan an excursion and this one was perfect. The driver was a lot of fun. I do like that there are more than one pick up location. When you are new to an area this makes it an easier process. The only thing that was a little confusing was where we were supposed to stand at one of the locations. There were no signs saying the bus picked up here or there. We stopped at several store shops to validate the address and determine where we were supposed to be picked up.
