What to Expect
Discover Dublin's hidden gems as you wander among many famous places on this 2.5-hour tour. Stop at the impressive classical Front Square of Ireland’s first university, Trinity College, to hear of the college’s numerous tales and treasures.
The next stop is at the magnificent 18th century former Houses of Parliament. Take a walk through Dublin's back streets before arriving at the splendid City Hall building. Then visit the historic Dublin Castle's courtyards and garden, where the revered Chester Beatty Library Galleries is also located. Continue on past the ancient City Walls, and stop to admire Ireland’s largest church, the medieval St Patrick’s Cathedral. The cathedral was the base of renowned author Jonathan Swift until his death in 1745.
A short stroll takes you to the even older Christ Church Cathedral and to Fishamble Street. Learn about the area's history as a Viking settlement, and view the site of the world’s first performance of Handel’s Messiah.
Walk past Smock Alley Theatre, Ireland’s oldest theatrical site, and then finish the tour with a visit to Temple Bar, Dublin’s cultural and entertainment quarter.
