Full description
First, make your way directly to the fantastic little city of Kilkenny. Enjoy 2 hours walking down the cobbled streets and visit castles in a town that was once the medieval capital of Ireland back in the 11th century. You can also visit the Black Abbey and the Cathedral of Saint Canice with its magnificent round tower.  After leaving Kilkenny, travel through the Wicklow Mountains to your next stop at the Monastic site of Glendalough. This is truly a scenic drive with amazing scenery stretching as far as the eyes can see. Hollywood Blockbusters like ‘P.S. I Love You’ and ‘Braveheart’ have been filmed here. A 10 minute photo stop to get a few pictures of this outstanding view is also included. Arriving in Glendalough, you will have around 2 hours to explore one of the most beautiful sights in Ireland. An area renowned for its magnificent scenery and Monastic ruins dating back to the 10th Century. But that is not all, here you will find magnificent lakes, waterfalls etc. The wedding scene from the movie "Braveheart" was filmed here at Glendalough as well.  Finally, head over to a sheepdog farm and watch a sheepdog herd with his master. For those who aren’t aware of what a sheepdog trial is, it is when a Border Collie uses a tactic called “The Eye” on sheep. This is a direct stare at the sheep used to intimidate them while herding. A sheepdog trial is also a competitive dog sport in which herding dogs move sheep around a field, gates or enclosures as directed by their herder. Witness a Shepherd and his dog at work and watch how they herd a flock of sheep. The tour will end between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. *Please note that all times are approximate. The locations might be visited in a different order, depending on traffic and weather.

Comfortable and entertaining excursion. It doesn't really stop at Wicklow town or anywhere else in Wicklow Mountain Natural Park, only stops at Glendalough, the sheepdog show and Kilkenny. The sites are spectacular and the bus is how, but it is true that almost more time is spent on the bus than visiting. The shepherd dog show was spectacular and very entertaining. Our guide Jess a 10!

Very nice experience, I recommend it if you have some spare time in Ireland but don't want to rent a car to explore. Our guid Jess was great, she managed to make the experience quite enjoyable for all of us. My only suggestion would be to better arrange the viewing of the sheepdog demonstration. I am quite short and could barely see, if it weren't because a passenger saw me and in the end let me take his spot in the front. Also, I was there with my mom who had a hard time having to stand up for so long because it was a matter of either sitting down and not being able to see anything or standing up and end with pained foot. We absolutely adored the Collies and we enjoyed the explanations very much, but that was a tiny bit not-as-good. Kilkenny is BEAUTIFUL and Glendalough was refreshing and breathtaking. 100% will come again!

We took three tours with three different companies from Dublin, and Finn McCools was hands down the best. Jess was a spectacular guide and a breathe of fresh air compared to some of the crusty and/or creepy guides that you often get with things like this. Michael was a very good driver and never once made me concerned. As far as the tour itself, the sites are beautiful, the sheep dog show is a must see experience (we got lucky that there were puppies!), and Kilkenny is a fantastic town to spend a couple hours.
