Full description

Enjoy a full-day scenic tour to the basalt rocks of the Giant’s Causeway. Formed more than 60 million years ago, the legend of the rocks features an Irish giant named Finn who was challenged to bridge the sea between Ireland and Scotland.

Departing from Dublin, stroll along the windswept path of County Antrim on arrival, and get panoramic views of the Mull of Kintyre and Rathlin Island. Continue along the coastal road, and enjoy views of Whitepark Bay and Portbradden.

Then, explore the 37,000 basalt “stepping stone” columns of the Giant’s Causeway.

Towering from the cliff and disappearing under the sea to reappear on Straffe Island, learn the legend of Finn before driving along the Causeway Coastal route between Ballycastle and Dunluce to experience one of the most dramatic roads in the world.

See wind-blasted cliffs and unspoiled beaches. Stop at Dunluce Castle to tour the former residence of the McDonnell clan, considered by many to be the most romantic castle in Ireland.

En route, pass through Bushmills, famed for its fantastic whisky. End with an orientation tour of Belfast city center, including City Hall, Victoria Square, and the famous Titanic Dry Dock, where the famous ocean liner was built.

The route was great, although some of the stops would worth a little more stop time. Our driver, Richard, was the best, keeping us on time, making us laugh, having all the arrangements organized. Beyond water and a couple of snacks you don’t need anything else. Not giving the highest rate only taking into account the global income of a bus full of turists, value versus experience for a family it can be a little out of price.

Great value for money! This was by far one of the best excursions we did with Get Your Guide thanks to the amazing driver / guide John who was so entertaining all over the trip. Not only he gave us a lot of precious information, he was also very funny, sometimes singing popular Irish songs and recommending films / books as a reference to the historical facts he went through. The trip was very well organized as well, enough time for visiting the several places we stopped by. We highly enjoyed it.

A great tour that shows the most famous places of Northern Ireland. John, who was our guide, not only introduced us to the stories of the places visited, but also made the journey more pleasant with anecdotes from his own life, jokes and even singing! I personally had a great time, I highly recommend it!
