Full description

Day 1
Check in Dublin Heuston Station (Customer Service Desk) for 7:00 departure of InterCity train to Cork (breakfast available). We visit Blarney Castle, the Queenstown Story at Cobh, then train to Killarney for two nights B & B with en-suite facilities.

Day 2
10.00 depart Killarney on Ring of Kerry tour. We have a wonderful day viewing some of Ireland’s most spectacular scenery, including Dingle Bay. We also see the Macgillicuddy Reeks, Ireland's highest mountain Carrantuohill, Moll's Gap, Ladies View and the world famous Lakes of Killarney. Overnight in Killarney.

Day 3
07.30 transfer from Killarney to Limerick, to join the Cliffs of Moher Tour, visit Bunratty Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Galway Bay, overnight Galway City in 3 star Hotel (2 nights).

Day 4
Get the ferry to Inis Mor and explore the largest of the Aran Islands. After lunch in Kilronan, enjoy a tour of the ancient fort Dun Aengus, admiring its sharp cliffs and dramatic seascapes.


Day 5
10.00 depart Galway for tour of Connemara, including Kylemore Abbey after which we depart Galway by train, arriving Dublin Heuston 20.45 transfer by tram to three star hotel for two nights (room only).



Day 6
Check in Dublin Connolly Station at 07.10 departure for the Giants Causeway tour. At Belfast we join our tour and head to the famous Antrim Coast Road crossing the lovely Glens of Antrim en route to Ballycastle and the Carrick-a-rede* rope bridge (Mid March - October only. Glimpse the Scottish coast on a clear day. We continue to the stunning Giant's Causeway next, seeing Dunluce Castle (photo stop only). We return to Belfast and our train to Dublin arriving at Connolly station at 22:20 for second night in three star hotel.

Meeting point

Check in on the morning of departure of the tour is at Dublin Heuston station at 6:40 AM beside the customer service desk. A representative in a yellow jacket will be present to check customers in and to show them to their reserved seats on the train.

We did the 6-day tour and we really enjoyed it. You visit Ireland far and wide, even if a bit hastily. It is clear that the Km are many and for this reason the days are very intense. However, I would evaluate another solution for the last day with a visit to Belfast because you arrive in the evening at the hotel in Dublin around 10:30/11:00 pm and then at 6:00 am the next day there is already a taxi that takes you back to the station for the last tour in Northern Ireland. So, the previous days are not a walk in the park, and the last one is really tiring. The guides were all very good except for the one assigned to us on the Aran Islands who was really unpleasant and rude. It is a tour that I highly recommend anyway to get an idea of what Ireland is like. I will definitely go back.

This was a great option for our first trip to Ireland. Our first Guide, Brendan, was wonderful. He knew all the history of the sites we were visiting & kept us well informed. Unfortunately, he was with us for only the first half. The second half was more chaotic. We had different guides & less information was given. Our bus on the way to the Aran Islands broke down & then was very late picking us back up again. We were very rushed around. Apparently, our new guide did not understand that there was only one couple in our group of 16 that were young. The rest of us could not keep up the pace he set. At one point he literally ran ahead & we lost sight of him. The last 2 days were too long. The majority of us did not go on the final day's tour due to exhaustion. The hotels were great, and it was nice having transfers and tickets all ready, but in the future, it would have been better to pace things more realistically. We could have done it better in 8-10 days.
