Looking for a spookily thrilling adventure? You've come to the right place! On this 2-hour walking tour of Dublin, you will see that while most of Dublin’s grisly past has been left behind, not every character has decided to pass over into the next world. The Emerald Isle is known as being one of the most haunted countries on the planet, with many of the world's most famous supernatural characters and stories finding their roots in the city's collective lore. Each wave of human culture from the Celts to the Protestant ascendancy has left a mark on the city's haunted history, and it is this diversity which makes Dublin’s other-worldly folklore so fascinating. Today, you'll be led through the eerie, cobblestoned streets as we hear tales from the underbelly of this city. These include the burning of 18th century madam Darkey "The Witch" Kelly, the tragic tale of The Green Lady of St. Audoen’s, and how Dublin's "Hell" got its name. As you walk, you will learn of the period in which The Dolocher stalked our streets and you will hear tales of the mysterious 18th century Hellfire Club and its dark origins. Your expert tour guides–associated with PSI Ireland (Paranormal Study and Investigation)–have all the capital's most haunting stories to share!

Great way to see and hear about Dublin and it’s many stories to tell. Some you may be familiar with, others you won’t find in a guide book; but all are told with the charm and friendliness you expect from such a welcoming nation. Prepare to be scared, yet comforted, whilst you learn about Dublins darker side.

Our guide Marc took us to some special places in Dublin and captivated us (despite the cold and rain that night) with a series of stories that took us to the Dublin of a few centuries back. Ideal in terms of atmosphere to experience in the (semi) darkness. The meeting point was indeed the small square next to the town hall on Dame street (and not 3 Palace Street although that is also nearby - around the corner).

I recommend this activity to those who want to spend about two in company, walking through the streets of Dublin to discover some little-known stories. Although some "ghost stories" are told, it is nothing scary, and many times one gets the impression that the success of the tour is largely due to the guide's skill in telling. Overall a good experience and definitely worth it.
