The ultimate guide to visiting Dubai in May
The ultimate guide to visiting Dubai in May

What is Dubai like in May, and is it an ideal time to visit? Simply put, May is one of the best times to take a trip to Dubai since the summer heat typically slows down tourism. This means you can save money and skip the crowds at Dubai’s top landmarks, including the Burj Khalifa and IMG Worlds of Adventure. Plus, temperatures are still quite bearable in May, so you can still do the outdoor activities you’d have to skip later in the summer, like all-day beach trips and boat tours.

I had an amazing experience exploring Old Dubai with Abdul as our tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the city's rich history and culture. Abdul took us through the Al Fahidi Historical District, where we admired the traditional wind towers and learned about Dubai’s past before the skyscrapers. He shared fascinating stories about the spice and gold souks, giving us insider tips on bargaining and hidden gems. The abra boat ride across Dubai Creek was a highlight, offering beautiful views and a glimpse into the city's trading history. What stood out most was Abdul’s warm personality and storytelling skills. He made history come alive and answered all our questions with great detail. His recommendations for local food and shopping were spot on If you're visiting Dubai and want to experience its heritage, culture, and traditions, I highly recommend booking a tour

Hakim introduced us to the culture and history of the Emirates. At the beginning of the tour we enjoyed delicious snacks such as Arabic coffee, sambosa, luqaimat and karak chai. He then took us through the Al Khayma and Al Sabkha districts. We visited a district known for spices and many other goods, as well as another that focuses on gold and jewelry. The tour was both informative and a culinary delight.

We had a very nice and informative afternoon with our guide Hakim. With a lot of specialist knowledge, he introduced us to the history and culture of Dubai in an entertaining way and in very good German and showed us the interesting corners of the old town and the souks. We always felt well looked after. The tour is an absolute recommendation!

The tour with our guide Hakim was really great. He gave us enough information, answered all our questions and looked after us well. In general, the tour was really nice because you learned a lot in a short space of time and were able to see a lot of the souks and the old town. A successful trip!! Absolutely recommended :)
