Full description
On this private 5-hour program, head to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in a 4WD vehicle. Enjoy a nature drive in search of the houbara bustard, Arabian oryx and sand gazelle. At the Emirati Falcon Hunting Camp you’ll be welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. The falconry experience begins as you help to train a greater spotted eagle, desert eagle owl and Harris’s hawk. All of the birds will be flown to your gloved fist. Participate in a modern training technique: fly a peregrine falcon, the planet’s fastest animal, to a drone. As an optional add-on, you can enjoy breakfast at the luxurious Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, or a picnic-style canapé breakfast at the falcon camp.

Wonderfully personal experience among the untouched dunes of the Desert Conservation Reserve: for nature lovers interested in learning about falconry and the flora and fauna of the Arabian Peninsula, this tour offers an authentic, hands-on experience with a knowledgeable guide. Rather than watching birds being flown, you become a trainer yourself and get a taste of how various birds of prey hunt and form working bonds with falconers. Worth the extra Money.

Dylan has dedicated his life for FALCONRY; Trip worth every minute!!!

Dylan was punctual on time & to mysurprise brought the FALCON in his car.We drove all the way from hotel to Desert with the FALCON in the back seat. He is so passionate about FALCONRY & said that he has trained a bunch of Falcons and other birds (Eagle Owl, etc). While he explained in detail about the different FALCONS (the wing type; what characteristic is special for each FALCON,etc)......He has provided me LIFETIME pictures/videos with FALCON activities; like move each bird towards me, making me hold it by teaching me how to hold it, making the bird flyover to my hands, fly through my hands...it was all amazing.Has tremendous experience with the DESERT;spotted ALL the animals that were available by going to the right places on time. Took to the Museum;showed ALL the necessary equipments for FALCONRY - hunting, training the falcons and the electronic equipments, Falcon/Camel race, etc Has experience in Scuba diving but thats 4 next time :-)

    Super great individual experience.

Bryan was a great guide with his own falcon. Very good, clear English (from South Africa). Punctually at the agreed meeting point at the airport and found us directly. He told us a lot about the country and its people. Very close to nature and careful with a good jeep in the nature reserve. He even discovered a rare sand fish. After the tour, he sent us a video and some pictures with us about the interactions with the falcons by email, including the names and types of the falcons, eagles and owls he showed. Great memory of this trip. The best way to get into the country when you arrive at the airport in the morning and enjoy the sunrise in the desert, including animals and oriental breakfast in the only very nice hotel in the nature reserve of the sandy desert.
