What to Expect
Climb aboard a verstaile Range Rover for a half-day wildlife safari of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in comfort, and learn the ancient art of falconry.
Set up to protect the endangered flora and fauna of the desert environment, the Conservation Reserve is the 1st national park in the UAE. Travel through pristine dunes, looking for native animals such as sand gazelles, Arabian hares, and caracal.
Then, enjoy a snack of freshly cooked local food at a desert camp. While at camp, you can climb onto a “Ship of the Desert” and explore the landscape from the back of a camel.
You will also spend some time with a trained falconer. An integral part of desert life, falconry was used for hunting hare and houbara to supplement the Bedouin diet. Your guide will take you on an immerseive trip through the ancient and modern training techniques, before giving you the opportunity to try your hand at swinging the lure or flying a falcon yourself.
