What You'll Do
  • Marvel at the spectacular views across rocky mountain passes
  • Visit Hatta Heritage Village
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch along the route
Experience Hatta Heritage Village on a full-day safari. With your professional guide you’ll travel across rocky mountain passes on the way to Hatta and marvel at the unique landscape.
What to Expect
Marvel at the spectacular scenery as you cross the desert in a 4WD vehicle. You’ll head into the higher altitudes east of Dubai on your full-day safari to Hatta Heritage Village.

Hatta is located about 70 miles east of Dubai in the Hajjar Mountains. Because of its altitude, Hatta has a milder climate, making it a popular destination for residents of Dubai.

In the old village of Hatta you’ll see 2 prominent military towers and the Juma mosque dating from the 18th century, as well as around 30 houses. The reconstructed heritage village features scenes from everyday life during that period.

You’ll cross varied terrain in your 4WD vehicle on the way to Hatta and enjoy scenic views across rocky mountain passes. The Hatta wadi, or dry river bed, winds through the mountains leading to lush green oases and refreshing water pools. You can enjoy a picnic lunch during the drive. After lunch you’ll drive through the sand dunes on your return.

What to wear:
Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo-chromatic lenses are recommended for those who wear eyeglasses. Hats or some protection for the head is advisable when in direct sunlight.

The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions. Swimwear should be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure that shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops, and villages.

The supplier reserves the right to cancel and/or amend any part of the scheduled program due to government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar events.

The tour duration is 6-8 hours (depending on the number of participants, traffic conditions, and pick-up and drop-off locations). Please plan your day accordingly.
