Why take a Hop on Hop off bus tour of Dubai?

Dubai likes to do things bigger and better than anywhere else. Thanks to the city's hop-on hop-off buses, you can see as much or as little of the city at a time as you wish. Here are five places to see at your own pace!

Downtown Dubai

The complex is still under development, but already boasts attractions like the Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountains, not to mention the world's tallest building: Burj Khalifa!

Heritage Village Dubai

If the sprawling metropolis all gets a bit much, why not alight at the city's Heritage Village to discover the traditional crafts and cultures that have enriched Dubai's history?

Jumeirah Mosque

The Grand Mosque isn't open to non-Muslims, but the Jumeirah Mosque is a great alternative.

Dubai Creek

The creek's scenery changes from urban sprawl to natural wonder as you near the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Some bus tours even include a cruise ticket in the price!

Souks

Any visitor ought to experience at least one of the city's traditional markets. Hop-on hop-off buses stop at all Dubai's best, including the Old Souk, Gold Souk, and Spice Souk.

Planning Your Visit

How much does it cost?

Hop-on hop-off bus tours are one of the cheapest ways to check out Dubai's sights. Prices start in the region of €60 for a single day's sightseeing, with costs going up from there based on duration or various add-on activities. There are also fantastic family or group price options.

Which route to take?

Tour providers offer a number of route options around the city. Be sure to check the route prior to booking. If you plan on sticking to a 24-hour ticket, it would be wise to prioritize the city, marina, and beach. If you finish with time to spare, you can always join another route!

What People Are Saying About Dubai

Always a great way to see the main sights and get your bearings

2 main routes - red and blue plus extra gold router to the Marina and JBR and pink route that went on outer edge of The Palm. Took the 48 hour ticket but still not enough time to do it all. The extras include the aquarium in Dubai Mall which is excellent and the Dubai Museum which is definitely worth a visit. The staff don't always give accurate info re timings. We were told a bus would be 20 minutes (standard, as they should come every 20 minutes) but in fact it was an hour!! No excuse re traffic, as 3 of the Big Bus company passed us. Very frustrating. Only downside is the traffic in Dubai is now horrendous so you spend a lot of time waiting in queues. The free water is a welcome bonus.

Would recommend to first time travellers

This made sense of where everything was and gave an opportunity to see many things we would not have otherwise seen. A good combo is with the Burj Khalifa.

Very interesting audio comments during the trip.

A good way to move through the city stresslessly (some buses even have air-co upstairs) while discovering new places and learning things about them.

At least a once in a lifetime experience

Wonderful and professional staff. The views from the tower are the most spectacular near sunset! An absolute must do during any visit to the UAE. Would recommend the the VIP tour package to the 148th floor where you can enjoy the lounge and the view of the city from a higher vantage point and then down to 124-125.

Really very good value if you can put up with some minor inconvenience

Excellent way to explore Dubai as well as the outside area including Sharjah and Ajman. The aquarium & underwater Zoo included in the package was an excellent add-on butt they fail to mention that you have to pay for children older than 2 years old so that is not included on the ticket. There are also a few problems with finding the correct bus stop because they are not marked so you could spend up to an hour trying to find the correct bus stop. The AC in some of the buses was not cold enough but it was a good thought to provide free water. Also the company is not very good with communication because I had a few questions before purchasing the ticket but they never replied. Also you should always start your journey from a mall where the stops are visible. I traveled with a family of 5 with young kids and it was still okay If you can put up with these minor inconveniences then it is one of the best ways to get to see Dubai and the surrounding area especially if you are a newcomer.
