Our guide, Houston, from Kenya is a gem of a guy. He made this activity very memorable for my family - especially my children, 7 & 12 years old. He related useful information about the interesting places we passed by during the ride there, which made us more aware as first time visitors to Dubai. On learning that my daughter was interested to ride a camel, he made the effort to reach out to his colleagues and fix up one, at a nearby camp which was definitely a big highlight for my entire family. His enthusiasm, wisdom and positivity radiates through his desert walk where he actively kept a watch out for animals and it paid off - scorpions, gerbils, Arabian oryx, dung beetles, ants, desert gecko plus our desert eagle owl which was part of the package. The food tasted at the camp tasted so good and Eddy our astronomer is such a funny guy! He is an obvious expert who patiently broke it down for the layman and the kids and made the sky come alive with his stories - really love it so much!

We had the best guide ever, speaking Russian German and also English fluently!! Amazing Tour, very entertaining and interesting you get a lot of impressions about the beduines. I really recommend this tour if you like to a different view of Dubai. The food was also really tasty. we started from 6.30 pm until 12 pm, be prepared to wear comfortable shoes.

Loved ride, walk and campsite; nibbles boring as all bread based.

Slightly disappointed that we didn't see more large animals during our walk but I know sightings, by their nature, are unpredictable. We did, however, see oryx and a deer at the feeding troughs. I loved the experience of walking in the desert at night; a perfect place to see the stars. It was a pity that we could see the lights of civilisation on the fringes. The campsite was interesting, fun and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed trying the shisha. The drinks were as expected but the snacks were too similar, all being pancakes of one sort or another. I thought we might have had more variety. like olives, houmos, or similar. Overall, however, it was an inforgettable experience.
