Excellent trip to the Burj Khaifi and throughly recommend getting the ‘Skip The Line’ tickets if your budget allows it. The normal queue for the lifts was absolutely huge but we felt like VIPs as we were led allow a dedicated ‘Premium’ walk away. That meant we were at floor 148 within 10-15 mins compared to the 1-2hr normal queue. The views from floor 148 were amazing , especially the outside balcony! The teas, coffees, juices and sweet treats were also very welcome too. Throughly recommend this upgrade ! Only slight niggle that no one told us we could cut the huge queue on the way down until a member of staff called out anyone with an upgrade after us being in the ‘normal’ queue for 10mins. But hey what does that matter after such an incredible experience. Book it !!

The addition of the 148th floor was definitely worth the additional money The time spent was not rushed and was not busy The quick access to the lifts worked well The only slight disappointment was the initial guide taking us to the lifts rushed through all the displays, didn’t wait for everyone and couldn’t be heard as she was too far in front Apart from this it was an excellent experience and worth adding the 148th floor to the 124 and 125th which is very busy

Exchange your voucher for a ticket in advance at the "At The Top" counter on the lower ground level of Dubai Mall. The Burj Khalifa is located near the 1st interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road. Take the 1st interchange and proceed through Financial Centre Road (formerly Doha Street). The approach road to Dubai Mall is on the right hand side. Alternatively, take the Metro to Burj Khalifa Metro Station.

Important information

Know before you go

  • A maximum of 50 people are allowed on the observation deck at any given time
  • There may be a queue for the observation deck exhibits
  • During the month of Ramadan, food, and beverages will not be served as part of the experience until Iftar (the evening meal at sunset)
  • If you would like to see the spectacular fountain show, you are advised to book for approximately 30-minutes before the fountain show you would like to watch in order to get a good spot
  • The Dubai Fountain schedule is 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM every day except for Friday
  •  The Friday Fountain schedule is 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM
  • The evening shows take place every 30-minutes from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Attractions can be visited for up to 1.5-hours

Overall this is a very good experience. But you need to go off peak, probably early in the morning. We went when it opened at 9am and it was still quite busy. Because it’s busy you get pushed into some lifts at full capacity in order to get up to the top. Once there the at experience at level 148 is really nice. Great views and space to enjoy / take photos. Staff are good and attentive. The coffee is decent. The professional photographer is a little over priced in my opinion - I think it worked out about £40 for one printed image. Once you go down you are in the mix with everyone else and I struggled to see the point of looking round at the same views just from a slightly lower level and with more people in your way. My advice would be to enjoy as much time as you can at level 148 which is really a really enjoyable experience.
