Explore Bohemia and the Saxon Switzerland National Park on a full day from Dresden. See the Bastei Bridge, Pravcicka Gate, Kamenice Gorge, and more with a guide (hiking tour) or visit Bastei Bridge and Tisa Walls rock formation (Tisa Walls Tour). Both Tours start the same- After being picked up from Dresden head to the heart of Bohemia and the Saxon Switzerland National Park, the youngest national park in the Czech Republic. Make a stop at the Bastei Bridge (the German side of the park), perched high above the River Elbe. Enjoy stunning views as you walk across the bridge. HIKING TOUR: Then, continue to Pravcicka Gate on the Czech Republic side of the park. Admire Europe’s largest natural sandstone gate. Pause for lunch (included), before transferring to Kamenice Gorge. You will board a small dinghy for a scenic journey through a canyon carved deep in the sandstone cliffs. TISA WALLS TOUR: After a stop for lunch (included) we will take a hike on the Tisa walls rock formation and observe Narnia filming locations. After the journey thru the labyrinth we will head back to Dresden.

  • The hiking tour consists of moderate hiking with a distance of approximately 12 km (7.5 mi), Tisa Walls tour approximately 8 km (5 mi) of easy hike (but 200 steps).
  • Please wear sturdy or sports shoes as there could be an uneven surfaces on the hiking trails
  • In case of force majeure, the tour program may change (e.g. gorges will be closed due to flood conditions). The group will be offered the most suitable alternative place to visit

This has been my favorite outdoor tour so far! Could not have had a better experience! Very impressive sights, an absolutely wonderful break from city sightseeing and museum crowds. Hosts were informative and engaging, very patient with the guests, and helpful every step of the way. I can't thank them enough, highly recommend the tour! It can be a bit exhausting if you aren't in good shape or a gym rat, but the hosts made sure to give us a clear idea of what to expect and had enough time that even those who paused were able to spend time at the locations. They also organized the activities to give us rest periods in the day. Food options were satisfying and delicious, and the pick up/drop off makes this a super convenient excursion. 👏 Hands down an absolutely gorgeous way to spend the day and ran by a wonderful group of people!
