Fine thing, very good idea.

I bought the City Card on the internet. Worked very well, with a control there were problems with the read. But then it worked. The Municipal Sales Office charged a different price for the City Card than I bought. The staff were not able to give a useful info for the price difference. I was a little upset. The basic idea of this card is very good. The achievable benefits were often not realized. The usage time until 19 o'clock was very tight.

The connection with the public transport in Dresden is very good. I booked the Dresden City Card online in advance. Since we arrived well before the check-in date in the hotel, we were able to start immediately in the city without first looking for a ticket machine somewhere or somewhere to stand. Everything worked out great!

For city exploration, the City Card is ideal

I had booked the City Card for four individuals online for two days and printed out the vouchers at home. Our hotel was located in Radebeul and our activities concentrated on the 16 km distant city center of Dresden. In order to use the Strab-Linie 4 from Radebeul to Dresden free of charge, we first had to go to the center and redeem the vouchers in the tourist information. We found that to be awkward. Here, hotel receptions should also be entitled to redeem vouchers. Regardless, I would choose the city card again for another such stay.
