Absolutely amazing time canyoning with Sukia. Whilst we were expecting some exhilerating waterfall rappelling, we got that and much more. The start of the experience is mentioned as a trek through the forest which we expected to be just getting to the start, instead it was one of the highlights of the trip! Learnt loads about the local flora and fauna, whilst just generally being shown the beauty of the primary rainforest that the canyoning was based in. Couldn't fault the guides at all, they were incredible and took the time to explain everything and share their expertise of the forest. Couldn't have wished for a better experience, absolutely recommend it to everyone who wants a bit of adventure in their trip! It was the highlight of Costa Rica for us.

Full description

Explore the jungle of the Tamandua nature reserve on a half-day trip with a guide. Hike deep into the remote jungle before heading to the river for a canyoning adventure. Spot native wildlife and tuck into a traditional lunch with locals. Choose from a shared or guided tour.
Meet your guide in Drake Bay before being taken deep into the jungles of the Osa peninsula. Marvel at untouched nature. Hike through the jungle, possibly cutting your way through with machetes. Follow trails made by tapirs and peccaries and keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife.
Then, walk, scramble, climb and swim on a canyoning adventure along the river. Discover waterfalls hidden along a path where tourists never go. At noon, after a long hike, stop at a local family's home to have a typical Costa Rican lunch. Then, relax in hammocks before returning to Drake Bay.

I felt safe 90% of the tour, but expected to see some wildlife besides butterflies since we were in a biological reserve. I would recommend this tour for people that are fit and don't mind getting wet.
