Popular Desert Safaris in Doha

Generally everything went good, you get what you pay for. Some notes: 1. Be advised, you or your hotel are not contacted prior the trip. You literally receive a WhatsApp message 15 min before the start. Till the last minute I was not sure whether the trip will take place and if the booking is actually ok. No one contacts you. That’s poor. I had to call the number provided which was actually UAE number, not Qatar. It is just a bit unpleasant feeling of uncertainty. However, the driver appeared as on the booking. 2. If you book a shared tour, mind that you will share a car - land cruiser - for 6-7 people + the driver. If you are lucky to be picked up first you have better sits. If not, well, safari tour is anyway about bumping in the car, no matter where you sit, but the back sits are not convenient for legs. 3. Camels ride is more a tick box for 5 min. Generally, count with 5 hours of a tour, you drive south from Doha. Be prepared that sand will be everywhere in your clothes.

This was booked last minute and very well priced in Australian dollars so I didn't need to use up my local currency cash. It was exciting. My driver Mahmood Hashemi is experienced in what he does. I have had the pleasure of similar in Dubai, however this was by far a greater thrill.

This tour was awesome. Specifically the four wheel drive sand dune bashing was an adrenaline pumping experience that was so unique it warrants the stopover to Doha on the way from Australia to Europe. Helped us transition through jet lag too.

We would like to thank the agency and especially Noufel, our guide. He made our tour unforgettable and fun for all of us (two adults, 1 child aged 6 and 1 child aged 13). we loved all the activities!! highly recommend it!

Since it's a shared tour, every seat would have different experience during the sand dunes bashing. It would be nice to change seats among the passengers throughout the trip.
