Full description
Enter the Rocky Mountain National Park and experience the wonders that inspired early explorers to push for the protection of this amazing landscape. Catch a view of Long’s Peak, the park’s highest mountain, soaring into the sky at 14,259 feet. Admire glacial-carved valleys, filled with aspen and pine trees. From Denver, drive along the Front Range through Boulder with its famous Flatirons Rock Formations. Continue through canyons alive with wildlife up to Estes Park, the charming town at the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Once you have entered the park your guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing, photographs, walks, optional short hikes, or just relaxing. Throughout the summer the tour will take you up trail ridge road to 13,000 feet. In the winter the high alpine road is closed and more time will be spent discovering the valley and its crystal clear alpine lakes.

This tour was EXCELLENT. The park itself is an absolute dream and the views are incredible. We also had an amazing guide, Braylee (sorry if that's misspelled!!), who with her science background and general good energy was a great storyteller and shared a wealth of information along the way about forestry, trees, buffalo, birds, environment, etc. She really knew her stuff, but also shared it in such a way that was lively and entertaining. The group was also small and convivial--everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Totally recommend this tour and guide!

Got to see a lake and drove all the way to the top of the rocky mountains. It did thunderstorm so we had to be careful because of lighting. Plenty of stop if you need to use the restroom. We did feel a bit a light headed, but there is oxygen cans at the top to help. We stopped in a little town in Lyons, got fresh water from the mountain.

Melissa was great! Informational, accommodating and fun. She listened to what we wanted to get out of the trip and then created an agenda around it. We were able to get some great pictures of the mountains, a waterfall and a lake. We didn’t hike as much as I hoped but it was still a great time. Be sure to bring layers and plenty of water. It gets cold at 14,000 feet and the water helps with elevation sickness.
