Once we made it to Luxor we met our guide, Mohamed Baraka, who greeted our group in both english and german also explaining the plan for the day. We went to the Karnak Temple first and Mohamed swiftly got us in and explained the history whilst teaching us some ancient Egyptian maths and how to read hieroglyphs, which was very interesting. After giving us the explanations he let us go off and explore on our own and take pictures. Then we went onto a boat across the nile, the journey across was very relaxing and we had a surprise stop on the way to the restaurant; fresh juice and fruit with a small walk through a banana tree farm through to the chance of holding a monkey, baby crocodile and having a photo with a big crocodile, phenomenal experience!! Then off to lunch which was lovely. Followed by a trip to Hatshepsut temple, then shorty after the valley of the kings. Throughout both stops our guide explained everything in both languages very well and gave us lots of time :)

this tour is a must in Egypte. we saw all the beautiful places we saw on documentries, movies before. it was a beautiful experience. our guide was Ahmed and i think he deserves an extra credit for what he has done. he was positive and helpful. thanks a lot!
