At Evolution Adventure Travel, we pride ourselves on providing the best in safety, professionalism, and fun. BIKE TOUR PROGRAM: 1. Pick-up starts at 7 a.m., when the tour guide will pick you up at your hotel (if you are arriving from another department, we will pick you up at the terminal or airport). We will then head to our workshop where all our equipment is located. There you can enjoy breakfast before heading to the summit. 2. Here you will be given your bikes and all the instructions to follow during the day. The Death Road tour is approximately 65 km long, and we begin the descent at 4,700 meters above sea level. This first part covers 22 km on a paved road to Unduavi and can take 45 minutes. 3. Then we will board our vehicle for a short trip to Chuspipata, from where it is 41 km to Yolosa. Here we will begin the most adventurous part of the tour, as the road becomes narrower and unpaved, surrounded by vegetation and small waterfalls. This second part of the descent takes around 3 hours or more, including several stops to rest and provide you with an energy snack. 4. Unlimited drinking water will be provided throughout the tour, and our support vehicle will follow closely behind the group so you can get on and off as many times as you need. Also, keep in mind that the temperature will increase as we head towards the Yungas, so we suggest dressing in layers and leaving your extra clothes in the vehicle during stops. 6. Although we provide helmets with Go-Pro mounts and you are welcome to bring your own camera, you don't have to worry about taking photos and videos during the trip; the tour guide will take them for you. 7. Finally, we will take you to our Hotel Villa Verde, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Here we will have free time to take a refreshing dip in the pool and enjoy the showers before continuing our journey back to La Paz (approximately 3 hours by car). We will drop you off directly at your hotel or preferred location between 7:15 and 8 pm. During this tour visit: •Train cemetery These 19th-century locomotives remind old times. This beautiful spot is excellent for photographers. •Colchani The Rosario Cooperative, which is a salt iodization plant, is located on the edge of the salt flats. This is a good place to observe the methods of salt extraction and process. Also, see the Salt Artisanal Market (Llama clothes - salt handicrafts) and a small salt museum. •Uyuni salt flats With 3665 meters of altitude and an extension of 12,000 km2, The journey through the salt flats provides a dazzling and incomparable landscape. Also, visit the salt eyes, salt and take beautiful photos. •Museum - Salt Hotel This is an unusual construction, built entirely of salt blocks. •Dakar Monument + Flags of the World Island the Flags of the World (Where you can bring yours and put it there for free) and a Monument of Dakar racing for nice shots. •Incahuasi island Located in the center of the salt flats, is like an Oasis of an exclusive and isolated ecosystem, and inhabited by cactus from 1 to 4 meters high. Incahuasi Island is considered an excellent spot by photographers, as well as a place to rest, with the impressive landscape of the majestic Uyuni Salt Flats.
