This castle was easier to get to than expected, using public transit (trains) and a quick uber ride. The building is amazing and highly worth a visit. I wish the guided tour was available in English but the audio tour was informative and interesting. The folks in each room were fun to talk to and had interesting things to say.

Take a walk in its tranquil parklands. Visit the Rose Garden or Roman Garden. Discover its ponds and canals, as well as the many bridges, romantic vistas, and impressive avenues ideal for long walks or picnics.

The castle is accessible by public transportation: take bus 127 from Vleuten station to the stop "Brink Haarzuilens" and walk in 15 minutes to the castle. You can also reach the castle by car (paid parking for 6 euros per day) or by bicycle. During the summer months, take bus 111 from Vleuten Station to the stop "Kasteel de Haar, Haarzuilens" and walk in 2 minutes to the castle (bus 111 is only available on Saturdays and Sundays). You can also opt for a rental e-bike or rental scooter from Utrecht Central (10 km) or from Vleuten station (3 km).

Beautifully preserved and presented. Loved that they had informational boards in all the rooms in several languages for those of us who didn’t take the guided tour. Highly recommend!
