The castle is accessible by public transportation: take bus 127 from Vleuten station to the stop "Brink Haarzuilens" and walk in 15 minutes to the castle. You can also reach the castle by car (paid parking for 6 euros per day) or by bicycle. During the summer months, take bus 111 from Vleuten Station to the stop "Kasteel de Haar, Haarzuilens" and walk in 2 minutes to the castle (bus 111 is only available on Saturdays and Sundays). You can also opt for a rental e-bike or rental scooter from Utrecht Central (10 km) or from Vleuten station (3 km).

The castle and its surrounding views are amazing . Lush gardens and well maintained castle with lot of information. Feels like a fairy tail. However getting a transport back to the nearest station was a nightmare after 3:30 pm , the last city bus was supposed to pick us up at 5:15 pm . However they stopped the service at 4 pm leaving us all stranded at castle . We had to hike for 40 mins to nearest station

The castle tour is worth it good history piece. The gardens are amazing and we'll kept. Guides at each station were informative when engaged. My advice if you are not from the Netherlands and not familiar with the area leave home early as to make the most of this piece of history. Overall a very good experience.

This is a BEAUTIFUL castle. SO ornately detailed. 10000 times worth the visit! Try to go for the Christmas Festival/Market. The employees at the Castle are amazingly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history with you. Kind and friendly. FIVE star experience.
