Full description
Spend a day in the natural habitat of fascinating wildlife creatures at Litchfield National Park. After being picked up from your accommodation at approximately 6:00 AM, ride in air-conditioned comfort to the famous Adelaide River. There, you'll board your private boat and cruise up the river. From the boat you can feed the crocodiles that teem in the water and see an abundance of wildlife all around you. You may even see a crocodile launching itself out of the water with the power of its tail! At the famous Litchfield National Park, you'll visit three waterfalls - the Wangi, Florence and Buley rock holes - and get the opportunity to swim in all three! Lunch is prepared in the park by your guide - a big bush picnic with an array of wraps, cold meats, breads, salad and fruit. Snacks are also included along the way if you're ever feeling peckish! Local and knowledgeable guides will give you thorough commentary throughout the day and stop for lots of photo opportunities. Marvel at the magnetic and cathedral termite mounds, and take time to visit the butterfly farm. Return to your accommodation in Darwin around 5:30 pm - or, on Sundays and Thursdays, at the famous Mindil beach markets!

After a very early start which is required because of the distances to be travelled we arrived at Adelaide River for the jumping crocodiles. The crocs were a little sluggish because it was so early and the temperature a little cool. The lunch was filling and we all helped to clean up. The pools were amazing although I wished we could have stayed longer. The Butterfly farm visit was a drink stop and the commentary from Lars was entertaining. All in all a worthwhile excursion.

Had a wonderful time! The driver was fantastic - always willing to help and very knowledgeable. It was a long day but very worth it. We were super impressed with the guide as being on the road for that long can be exhausting yet he remained bubbly and enthusiastic. We are a young couple (early 20s) and loved it however the majority of the people on the tour would have been retirement age. If you are in that bracket it would definitely suit. We had a great time and would recommend!

It was a small group, about 20 people) which worked out well. Really enjoyed the crocodile experience & later we had a great lunch of wraps, which we made to our own taste, plenty of fresh salads as well. I really enjoyed the 2 stops at the waterfalls, so refreshing! The only thing was that at least half of our group were unable to get to the waterholes. Due to their fitness
