Enjoy the Viennese scenery on this Danube River cruise with shorter and longer options available as well as the opportunity to try some typical Viennese cuisine. Admire 'modern Vienna' and 'green Vienna' as a part of the longer tour option or simply discover 'modern Vienna' on the shorter cruise. Enjoy views of ‘modern Vienna’ with the Danube plateau skyline, Danube Tower, and Millennium Tower. Travel via the Nussdorf lock system to reach the Danube Canal. Admire the architecture of the Hundertwasser-designed heating plant in Spittelau, the Roßau Barracks, and Ringturm. Make a short stop at the Vienna/City station at Schwedenplatz. Here, the shorter tour comes to an end. If you have selected the longer option, continue toward the green heart of Vienna and the woods of the Prater area. Sail downstream from the Freudenau Lock, past the shores of Danube Island, and past a grain silo that has been converted into a hotel and a stadium. Then, return to Reichsbrücke, where the extended tour comes to an end.

A cruise through Vienna with a fitting culinary combination. The ticket includes a boat trip down the Danube and through Vienna. Start the tour at Schwedenplatz and redeem your voucher at the Vienna/City boat station at the DDSG Blue Danube. The ships depart just a few minutes' walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral in the city center. On board, the crew welcomes you. The ships are beautiful restaurant ships that sail both the Vienna Danube Canal and the great Danube. During the tour you will pass through two locks, a process that takes about 20 minutes each time. The tours are carried out with both the French designed MS Vindobona, which is now one of the sights of Vienna (departure 11:30 and 15:00) and the MS Wien, which has a large outdoor deck (departure 10:30 and 14:00). Both ships are air conditioned. The food is freshly prepared on board, the Schnitzel of course tapped, breaded and baked in butter lard. As you wish, you can also enjoy premium coffee from Julius Meinl or typical Austrian pastries, but neither of these are included in the price and have to be paid additionally. The round trip takes about 3.5 hours, returning to your starting point at the conclusion of the tour. Simply relax by the water and enjoy your stay aboard.

The activity met our expectations. We took the option with the Wiener Schnitzel and it was delicious. The cruise itself wasn't very interesting or beautiful, but it was a good value for money.
