What people are saying about Danube Bend

Gabrielle is the best tour guide - made for an excellent birthday

Three of my friends and I spent the day with Gabrielle on the Danube Bend tour. We had a great discussion on the way and back driving. He's extremely rich in information on the history of Hungary in general. We learned a tremendous amount. He was also extremely courteous, polite and very open. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and he made us feel totally at ease. I will recommend this tour, and Gabrielle especially. It was great to get out of Budapest and learn a little more about Hungary and its history.

Nice getaway if you spend more than 3-4 days in Budapest

Little quaint town - good for a walk and to sip some coffee / hot chocolate + delicious cake in one of the many cafes. We also visited the museum of marzipan which was quite unimpressive but good for kids I imagine. The small museum of miniatures was way better and we spent some half an hour there to see the 10 or so exhibits. Not much else to do except souvenir shopping and getting food. We tried to have lunch at a restaurant but they were so painfully slow that we moved to a food court.

Great chance to see historic sites outside of Budapest

I totally enjoyed this trip. It was well organized and the guide was extremely knowledgeable. As with any group tour, it is a challenge to balance the time for individual exploring and the need for the group to move on. I felt I had enough time to explore the towns, but wished I had more time at the large church. If you want to go to the top of it, then don't delay, don't buy admission to anything else, and make sure you are in good shape! Oh, and the lunch was delicious.

Beautiful little village to explore and unwind

We booked this trip for our final full day in Budapest having spent 11 days between the Grand prix then sightseeing we were looking for a more relaxing day trip and this certainly provided it. A lovely 1 1/2 hour scenic cruise to reach the charming little town. We spent a nice 5 hours just strolling and exploring the pretty little streets, trying the delicious langos, icecream and beverages.

A quick but beautiful visit...well worth seeing

The town of Szentendre is a must see for any tourist visiting Hungary. It is mere miles from Budapest but one is transported to a different moment in time courtesy of this visit. Mike (our tour guide) was an exuberant and kind tour guide with a great personality. We appreciated being shown around the town by him. All in all, a lovely way to spend a few hours in Hungary.
