Full description

Depart from Bangkok in the morning and head to Ratchaburi Province, home of the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.

Along the way, make a quick stop to visit a traditional Thai house, where you can see locals making brown coconut sugar. Explore the house and its surrounding area, which is home to many different animals living on the coconut plantation.

Continue your trip by boarding a paddle boat for a ride along narrow canals to the floating market. See the local houses lining the canals and take a quick glance at their way of living, while you pass by.

Once you arrive at the market, see the amazing array of vendors in their boats selling fresh products, from fruits and vegetables to prepared dishes.

Explore the floating market at your leisure for about an hour and take time to try some authentic Thai foods, such as Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice, Boat Noodles or Coconut Ice Cream sold along the canal.

Meet up with your guide to head back to the meeting point in Bangkok, where you will arrive between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM.

very nice experience. Susi gave us a friendly welcome this morning. we rode the bus together. meanwhile she reported a lot about Thailand. in a very good English that was easy to understand. During the whole tour I felt very well looked after. Meeting points were always identified very well. easy to find even in the morning.

We had an excellent day with our guide Suzie(sp). Check in at River City was easy and quick. Susie was very forthcoming with information and constantly answered my questions. The tour was awesome from beginning to end. I originally thought the stop at the sugar making place was excessive but I learned a lot and immensely enjoyed seeing a traditional Thai style home. The market itself was an experience I will never forget. Although some vendors can be aggressive in trying to get a sell it's important to remember that they are trying their best to make a living. I would definitely love to do this tour again and introduce someone new the marvel of a floating market.

It was a very fun activity and our guide (Mindy) was super nice and told us a lot about the things we saw along the way. As a stopover she also took us to a coconut farm, really nice! We could also decide for ourselves how long we wanted to walk around the floating market, which was also nice. The only downside was that it was super cold in the van and we had goosebumps for 1.5 hours, so bring something like a jacket or sweater!
