Puerto Plata: Wet and Wild Waterfall Adventure

3. Puerto Plata: Wet and Wild Waterfall Adventure

Your official guide will accompany you throughout your day, sharing information about the country with you and enhancing your tour. You'll begin by heading towards Imbert to Las Cascadas de Damajagua, a set of waterfalls which are unique and world-renowned for being some of the leading ecological attractions of the country. There you will have direct contact with nature as you descend one by one down the 12 "puddles of Damajagua". Each of these will provide a different adventure, as no puddle or waterfall is equal to another. As you arrive to the last puddle, you will enjoy a natural pool in the middle of nature. Following that, you will head to the zipline adventure to clip-in and follow your guide down 8 ACCT-certified ziplines. The ziplines consist of a total of more than 7,900 feet of double-galvanized steel cables. No experience is required, and contrary to many other zipline parks you are not involved in any active breaking, such as using gloves for stopping. You will be free to walk between the lines at your own pace, with instructors by your side.

What people are saying about Damajagua

Our guides and staff were very kind and helpful. The 7 waterfalls was amazing. We are from Utah and it was like one of our slot canyons in the water. High rock walls and beautiful clear water. The zipline coarse was a fun trip with amazing views of the mountains and ocean. The horseback riding was a nice finish to the day with an easy ride through a few ranches in the area. Watch out for the donkeys! The food was great, a rice, beans and chicken lunch that was delicious. They made sure we had water available through out the whole day. Would definitely do it again.

Hello everyone...I went into this with some expectations...these were surpassed in a positive sense. In detail: It undoubtedly takes some courage/overcoming to jump or slide in the individual parts of the waterfall. But sometimes In the end it starts like an addiction and you want to tackle the steep ascent again and start the whole thing all over again. I definitely recommend it...do it...especially since the guides exude confidence and with the "travel guide" Amerikano it's even more fun. Thanks for this great time!

ZipLine: great, nice, friendly support Riding: The lovely little horses know the way. Very good even for the inexperienced. Lunch: delicious, very good crispy chicken schnitzel and various side dishes. More than enough. Waterfalls: 30 minute walk well worth it. Definitely place to book the photographer! Due to Corona, we had a mega private guided tour for two.

Eric is great man, talkative and spending time with him was a pleasure. That’s a pity that due to climate change many of the water attractions could not be realized.

Highly Recommended!!! Everything is well organized. Care and food were super good;) again at any time :)
