Ride a camel through the Sinai and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert. On this 6-hour excursion you’ll ride with a guide, taking in the scenery of Dahab and breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea.
What to Expect
Experience part of the Sinai from the back of a camel on this 6-hour adventure! You’ll be able to imagine what it was like for the Bedouin when camels were their only form of transport in the wadis.
You’ll meet your guide and pick up your camel for the ride to the wadi (which will be Wadi Qunai, Wadi Connection, or Wadi Tiwelt). Along the way you’ll take in the scenery and the atmosphere of Dahab.
The camel trek is focused on the Bedouin way of life. Under the supervision of your Bedouin leader you will learn to care for your own camel, feeding, riding, and loading it yourself.
Historically camels have been essential to the Bedouin. They have been a source of riches and of survival for nomad tribes. These animals are comfortable with people and most are docile and friendly creatures. If necessary, a camel can survive for up to 2 months without drinking water and for a few weeks without food, although if given the chance it will drink and eat every day.
This is a great opportunity to spend time on your Sinai holiday doing something completely different, in a beautiful location overlooking the Gulf of Aqaba.
