What People Are Saying About Dachau Concentration Camp
This was a really informative, interesting tour that I went on with my 17yr old son from New Zealand. He also found it very interesting and well done. The tour guide, Eric, was excellent. He had an amazing knowledge base and was very good in his presentation of the information. It was a very moving experience. We were pleased to see this important memorial and recognise that it is important for people to remember the past so that history is never repeated. One thing I found very hard though were people taking smiling selfies in front of the gate sign "Work sets you free" and the other sculpture. Photos of the memorial are fine, but really having a photo taken smiling in front of a place of death and misery seems very inappropriate.
Thanks to Mat our tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Lots to process and well guided through.
Our Guide Matt had great knowledge about the subjekt and spoked with a clear english accent. He provided us with information not only about the camp in Dachau, he also gave each and one of us knowledge of the time before and after these horrible actions took place, which in some way gave us a deeper understanding.
We were planning to visit Dachau during a trip to Munich, but I'm really glad I booked to go with a guided tour. Our guide, Matt, was brilliant and added so much more to our time there than we would have got on our own. He was incredibly knowledgeable and sensitive, and gave us an detailed insight into the history and politics leading to the events at Dachau. Couldn't recommend his tour more highly.
Our trip to Dachau was both emotional and informative. Our guide was perfect and made the entire experience easier. We felt that he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommnded.
