Overall, my husband and myself had a fantastic experience. We were lucky to be the only ones at our group, so we had a guide just for us! This made it very personalised, specially made easier the hike, as we could take the photos we wanted and stop when needed, although for my husband, he would say that the guide was walking too fast. All the activities (cycling, rafting and the zip line) were very well organised, felt very safe and we really enjoyed them. Watch out for the mosquitos! We were eaten despite the repellent. The thermal baths are not included but definitely recommended. The places we stayed overnight were very comfy, clean, had hot showers and the food was also good. If you are a big eater, there are also opportunities to buy snacks and water. Our guide Jaime was brilliant, giving us tips, information, always looking after us, making sure that we were fine and that everything was running smoothly. It is a great four day journey to Machu Picchu!
This was a wonderful adventure in Peru. The Pros: great guides, very responsible, guest safety, comfort and hospitality all get high marks. The hot lunch was delicious too. The Cons: it was listed as an all-inclusive activity but when we got there they told us the river shoes were an additional 15 Peruvian Soles per pair and you definitely can't do without them. You need them to walk in and around the river. That is not "all inclusive" when it comes to an accurate description of the tour.
Fantastic way to get to know Macchu Picchu surroundings. Our guide was very helpfull and the quality of the stay was nicer than we expected it to be. Food was traditional peruvian cuisine and great everywhere. We only had a small trouble with the train on the way back o Ollantaytambo but that was Peru Rail mistake, not the company.
Pickup from hotel and the Guides were great!! Thank you Willy and Anderson for the lovely day! We managed to raft through class 3+ rapids and it was a lot of fun! Got to change seats in the raft to get experience of being in the front! Their lodge has many cute friendly animals too!
William and David were excellent guides. Attention was paid to the seriousness of our role in the boat, but the mood was kept light and fun. The zip line experience was a nice bonus. The lunch after our river adventure was also very good. A great experience all the way around.
