Full description

Start with pickup your hotel around 8:00 AM and enjoy a scenic 1-hour ride until you reach the Via Ferrata base. On arrival, you’ll be provided with the safety equipment to start ascending the rock cliff. Via Ferrata is a path used to climb a mountain with a permanent safety system including metal steps and a lifeline that assures your safety at all times. Being accompanied by an expert guide, begin the 300 meters ascent that will take about 1 hour to reach the highest point. Here, stop for a quick box lunch and admire the breathtaking views over the Valley and Vilcanota river below. Next, prepare for flying along the 6 zip-line cables that range from 250 up to 700 meters long. Attached to the lines, feel the adrenaline of being suspended on the air as you go from one mountain face to other. After descending more than 300 meters in zip-zag, the adventure will end in the base. Then the transport will take you back to Cusco or Sacred Valley locations such as Ollantaytambo, where you can connect to Machu Picchu.

War eine super Tour ! Ich bin morgens super pünktlich von meiner Unterkunft abgeholt worden und dann sind wir zum Startpunkt gefahren. Dort haben wir unsere Ausrüstung und eine Sicherheitseinweisung bekommen und dann ging es los ! Ich war absolut zufrieden und unsere beiden Guides wussten auf jeden Fall was sie machen. Der Klettersteig ist nicht wirklich schwierig, daher auf jeden Fall auch für Anfänger geeignet ! Es war ein tolles Erlebnis !

Best trip we did, and worth every penny. Word of warning, the description is wrong on the timing. It takes about 1hr 40 to get to base camp... The entire activity is NOT five hours (you'll be gone from 8 am-5pm) which gave me a heart attack because we planned it on the day we were flying out and expected to be back at 1 p.m. but our guide got us a car to return to Cusco to make sure we got to the airport on time. Best tour we had during our time in Peru, hands down!

Most incredible excursion we have ever done and we travel A LOT. Super fun for adventure seekers. Great guides, equipment, lunch, vehicle transfer, and more. We couldn’t be happier with this decision. We went with our 11 and 13 year old boys who loved every second of the thrill seeking excursion. I would say this is not for people with fear of height. For everyone else, it’s a blast.
