We booked a guided tour to Machu Picchu with Peru & U and the experience with our guide made it the highlight of our 9 week Latin America trip and one of the best days of our lives! From start to finish the communications we’re good, but the professional logistics they put together to: arrange a 1-2-1 with our guide at our hotel, escort us to and from MP Citadel, provide us with the best guide possible and arrange a fantastic quality tasting-menu lunch at the end… was phenomenal. We have to give the highest praise to our guide Joel Andre, who brought both the Incan Citadel and the MP Mountain climb to life. His knowledge of the site, the ancient traditions and their balanced spiritual thinking was enlightening. His careful consideration of our progress towards the summit was so appreciated as he just sensed when to stop to point out healing plants or beautiful wildlife. We were the oldest people doing this trip and succeeded thanks to Joel! Thanks GYG! Thanks Joel!

Huayna Picchu is a steep climb of an hour and is hard work but the views are spectacular and worth the effort. I bought the Circuit 4 ticket and was very disappointed with the lack of access to the main areas at Machu Pichu. Circuit 4 covered a very small part on the lower edge of the citadel. Another circuit might allow more access but I was disappointed with the access given I paid $70 for the ticket and hundreds of dollars more to get there. Machu PIchu is an amazing site and location but I left thinking the whole place was set up up to make money from tourists rather than give them a good experience for the sizeable investment they'd made to get there.

I travelled to Machu Pichu from Cusco. I booked through Peru&U for the entry tickets to the site and to acquire a private guide two months in advance. All the arrangements were well organized by the company and they kept in touch throughout the two months before my trip occurred to keep me informed of what to expect. The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about Machu Pichu. He took care from the moment we arrived in Machu Pichu Puebla to show us what we needed to do so we didn’t miss our travel up to the site, and he was very understanding about the effect the elevation would have on our breathing capacity and didn’t rush us through the site.

Legit service. I was a bit scare but everything turned out good. We didn’t receive tickets in 48 hours but the company reached out to us to explain the situation so we were aware of a little delay. They also responded very quickly to every concern that we had. Def would recommend if you buy last minute tickets

William was a great guide. We learned a lot. What an amazing place!
