Explore the Huaypoo Lagoon and Maras on this Sacred Valley quad bike tour from Cusco. Spot the snow-capped mountains of Verónica and Chicón and reach a viewpoint to see the Maras salt mine. Get trained on how to operate your bike for a safe adventure off the beaten path. The tour begins with the pickup from your hotel or chosen meeting point in Cusco. Take off on a 50-minute ride to the community of Cruz Pata in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In Cruzpata, join a 15-minute bike training, then officially start your adventure. Drive to the imposing Laguna de Huaypo, a location that has inspired many stories and legends. Feel the adventure from head to toe as you venture down the path that will take you to Riobamba, then take the bus to the salt mines of Maras. See the mines from a viewpoint and choose to buy some of the salt products that are offered there. On the tour route, you'll also see the mountains of Verónica and Chicón. Later, return from the Salineras de Maras to the city of Cusco.

Guides were extremely friendly and really knew what they were doing. I'd never driven a quadbike before, but the guides taught us quick and it was a lot fun. The Laguna Huaypoo was very beautiful, calm and serene. The Maras salt mines were truly a sight to behold. While riding the quads, you're going to get very dusty, so make sure you wear clothes you're willing to get dirty, even though at the end, they dust you off with a compressed air hose.

O passeio é muito bom, mas tem que levar 10 soles Peruanos para entrar em Maras. Antes de chegar a Maras o guia leva para uma loja que tem produtos feitos com o sal de Maras. Laguna Huaypo é Bonito mas simples. O pessoal da agência leva de van para Maras. Passeio de Quadriciculo é apenas o passeio até a Laguna e o caminho devolta por mista de terra. Os guias dão instrução de Quadriciculo e o aluno prática antes de fazer o passeio. No lugar de visitar a Laguna,pode visitar Moray(é o melhor passeio). Porém converse com o guia antes,o ingresso para Moray pode comprar antes ou no local por 70 soles peruanos. Passeio muito Bom. O guia busca no Hotel mas na volta deixa na praça das armas.

Overall ok but we spent the vast majority of the time in the cramped van rather than doing activities. The Lagoon is also quite underwhelming as a site to visit. Fortunately it was just me and a motorbike guide taking this route (rather than visiting the Inca site) which meant I could have fun on the quad. If you’re stuck in the group you’ll be subjected to a basic and patronising set of rules and overly-precautious safety routine - this isn’t really the activity for you if you enjoy riding quads, it’s more a procession in a slow moving line (yawn). Our guide Carlos had big enthusiasm and explained the salt mine well but we only had about 20 mins out of the van before needing to travel again.
