Tackle the unforgettable Inca Trail and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime hike to Machu Picchu. Departing from Cusco, discover one of the world’s oldest pilgrimages on this 4-day trip and explore a cloud forest. Day 1: Cusco - Km 82 - Ayapata Depart from your Cusco hotel early in the morning, drive to Km 82, the starting point, and begin the Inca Trail hike visiting Llactapata, Tarayoc, and arrive after 6 hours to the first campsite in Ayapata, located 3300 (10826 feet) meters above sea level. Day 2: Ayapata - Dead Women´s Pass - Chaquicocha In the morning, make your way to the highest point of the Inca Trail, passing two mountains for a total of 10 hours of hiking. Traverse Dead Woman’s Pass is the highest point of the Inca Trail at 4215 meters (13829 feet). Then, cross the Runqurakay Pass, with 4000 meters (13123 feet), to Chaquicocha campsite. Day 3: Campsite - Phuyupatamarca - Wiñaywayna After a good night's rest at Chaquicocha, take on the 6-hour trek, visiting Phuyupatamarca, Intipata, and finally, the archaeological site of Wiñaywayna at 2600 meters (8530 feet). Pass through a number of ecological zones, home to a diversity of flora and fauna. Spot orchids, bromeliads, hummingbirds, foxes, and deer. Day 4: Sun Gate - Machu Picchu Wake up early and hike for 2 hours to Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate, and enjoy a unique view of Machu Picchu. After exploring Machu Picchu, board the Panoramic Vistadome train back to Cusco and be dropped off at your hotel in the evening.

It was an incredible experience that deserves 5 stars. Our guides, Jose Luis “Pepe” and Sercio “Checho,” were outstanding. Not only did they guide us safely through the breathtaking Andes, but they also enriched our journey with fascinating insights into Incan history and culture. A special mention goes to Amilcar “Chef“, who amazed us with the delicious meals he prepared throughout the trek. We also want to express our deep gratitude to all the porters who made this trip possible. Their hard work and dedication behind the scenes were truly remarkable and ensured that we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The group we hiked with was unique, adding to the overall positive experience. We also strongly recommend spending a few days acclimatizing in Cusco (4 dass in our case), as the altitude on the trail, which reaches over 4,200 meters, can be challenging. All in all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and we highly recommend it to anyone considering the Inca Trail.

Very good. The tour guide, Abelardo, was amazing : very professional and bring us into a whole expérience. The porters, Geronimo and his team, Bernardo and Miguel, and the other, were great during the whole journey. Finaly, the chefs were amazing, bravo Vidal ! Great food, very appreciated ! The guides (Vicente and Julio) were very supportive and encouraging and fun too. They are very knowledgeable and can share all the info about the Inka sites and customs. And I would not have made it if it wasn’t for them as I wanted to give up on day two (the most challenging part of the trek). The porters did an absolutely amazing job and the chef cooked the best meals ever! Loved every bit of the trek, had some melt downs too but it was overall the most beautiful adventure I have been on! Would recommend to anyone 100%. Waking up to the mountains and the nature each morning was amazing. And there is no more rewarding thing than seeing Machu Picchu after 3 days of trekking. Beautiful and emotional experience!
