Have your photo taken cuddling a koala and meet Australia’s unique native wildlife with this combo ticket. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is centrally located on the Gold Coast and just a 30-minute drive from Surfers Paradise. You can cuddle a koala and have your photo taken any time of the day. The Koala Photo Area is open from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, and 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Wander the 27-hectare sanctuary, home to over 1,400 Australian native wildlife. Hand-feed kangaroos, come face-to-face with Australia’s largest saltwater crocodile and see the free-flight bird show and Aboriginal performances. Learn about the Sanctuary and its animals at any of the interactive shows, or ask one of the helpful volunteers positioned around the park. Discover the outdoor playground, ride on the sanctuary’s miniature train, or enjoy a picnic. Visit the onsite Wildlife Hospital and see the vets in action. Join in the feeding of the colorful wild lorikeets at 8.00 am or 4.00 pm for a gold coin donation. Enjoy the spectacle of dozens of rainbow-colored birds landing on your head and arms!

This place is really suitable for young children, you can discover the species of the country and the spaces are magnificent, rest areas and water games are very significant. The train can take you from one end to the other. For the family, this is an appointment not to be missed.

It was the best experience! The koalas are very warm and kind, and the staff who keep them kindly taught me about koalas. You can also see many other native Australian animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and Tasmanian devils in the game sanctuary. It was impressive to see the animals relaxing in a jungle-like breeding environment. In addition, there are various event programs in the garden. You can listen to the keeper's story and watch the show. We recommend the bird show! It was one of the most amazing and fun animal shows I have ever seen. We also recommend feeding the kangaroos. I touched a fluffy kangaroo and took pictures with it. It was the best experience in Australia.

A lovely staff member highly recommended bird show I am very grateful for his suggestion I absolutely 100% love it. The birds flying above your head lizards and big birds walking around our feet incredible. The staff are a credit to the Sanctuary.
