What People Are Saying About Cu Chi Tunnels
The price was much cheaper than what the hotel (Continental Sajgon) travel desk was offering. And we definitely made a good choice. Group was small , we were picked up timely from the hotel, minibus was new and comfortable with air conditioning, and the guide was knowledgeable with excellent English. It is worth to visit the Cu Chi tunnels - great history lesson about ordinary people suffering during the unnecessary wars.
Fantastic tour! Well worth the experience. Our tour guide "Hi" was very knowledgeable and informative. Was great to meet other travellers along the way as well. Only advice would be to pack some snacks as lunch is not included.
If you are prepared for a long day, with quite some time of transportation between the sites, you will be rewarded with much very interesting things and activities. Both guide and chauffeur were really great. They informed us about the country, the history, the stories between the beautiful and interesting sites.
Our driver and tour guide Nhi Picked up us at our hotel at 08 AM. Nhi did a great job providing some insights into life in Ho Chi Min and was always pleasant and humorous in her explanations as we made our way to the various stops. The tunnels we very entertaining and was well worth the time. Parts of the Mekong tour were a fun and involved lots of different foods and teas along the way. Some stops were tourist traps like the honey farm and coconut factory, but were good places to pick up gifts for people if needed. Would recommend as a great tour to get outside of the city for a day.Overall a great experience.
The trip to the Cu Chi tunnels was soow overwhelming while you were standing in actual war territory. To see the ingenuity from the vietnamese soldiers during the war in "real life" was awesome. To shoot with guns used in the war, crawl through the actual war tunnels and see the craters where bombs had exploded during the war just added a more complete view/experience during this trip. The mekong river trip was also a good trip to see another part of Vietnam. The way of life the people along side the river live and the impressive river itself. The boot tours were good, the fruit tasted wel as did the coconut candy's.
