Cu Chi Tunnels: Morning or Afternoon Guided Tour

1. Cu Chi Tunnels: Morning or Afternoon Guided Tour

The morning tour will begin at 8:00 AM and finishes at 2:30 PM, the afternoon tour starts at 12:45 PM and concludes at 6:45 PM. Both tours finish in Ho Chi Minh City. Depart the City for Cu Chi Tunnels, just 60 kilometers. Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti-American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its 220 kilometer-long tunnel system and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreigners to visit. The peacefully rural rice paddy scenery is home to ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers along the side of road. You will find it hard to imagine the destruction and damage all over the area caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone." The remnants in Cu Chi are evidence of the fierce battle that took place. You will even have chance to fire an AK-47. At the end of the tour, the bus will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. Select the "Sunset Cruise" option to continue your evening with a 30-minute cruise along the river while enjoying a free cocktail.

Overall rating

I arrived in Ho Chi Mihn City with a bad case of food poisoning. I spent two of my three days in the city recovering, so on the last day I decided to book this tour to make the most of my final day in the city. Mario was a great tour guide and I really got a great bang for my buck and time on this tour. There are some parts that feel a little touristy and cheesy, but overall it's a fun experience and I learned a lot.

Excellent in every respect. Ethan the guide was great and everything went According to plan from the pickup to the boat ride, tunnels and lunch. Ethan passed on masses of knowledge and was a great guide. If you only do one trip out of Saigon, do this one with Kim Travel.
