Tour was eventful, host were a cute greek family. There were little activities to do in between cooking which i appreciate. The biggest issue though is the hygiene of the cooking session. Gloves were not used, hand washing was not mandatory, we prepare food individually but they then get cooked all together, so you might be eating food someone else prepared. Usually that’s not a big issue, but my tour had a rather ill guy who kept sneezing, coughing and clearing his throat, and i felt quite uncomfortable knowing i had to eat the food he might have prepared. Giving everyone gloves, and marking everyone’s food so that you only eat the food you prepare could help this. Would still recommend, just hope hygiene could be improved!

We were picked up & driven about half an hour or so into the country where we could see the sea below us on one side and snow capped mountains on the other. Pretty gorgeous. 2 friends ran this tour. Andres picked us up & he was our translator, while the mother and perhaps sister (unclear) of his friend were our chef instructors. They held our hands as we made stuffed peppers, tomatoes & zucchini, Greek bruschetta ,tzatziki, Greek cheese filled calzones, stuffed grapeleaves ( they were my favorite, hard call tho cuz I LOVE tzatziki!!) &A nice Greek salad. It was vegetarian & I didn’t miss the meat. There was a little wine tasting with cheese & bites ,a little history lesson, a little goat & sheep feeding, & a lil history of old Greek cooking ovens, cauldrons, grinding apparatus etc. We had some sweets for dessert & gifted Raki & homemade olive oil. We had a delightful group and the whole experience & facilitators were wonderful. I definitely recommend this delightful experience!!!

Very nice and delicious tour. The description stated we could pick the vegetables and herbs ourselves but that wasn't the case. Also there was no meat. But the food we created was really nice and the lady's of the house and the guide where very friendly and knowledgeable about the region. Because we were later back in Chania than planned we just missed the last bus to Kolymvari. But the guide drove the route of the bus to catch it so we didn't have to pay for an expensive cab, which was really nice of him!
