It was the first time for me using the downloaded audio guide and it was great experience. This particular audio guide was really made like someone in person has been walking you through the attractions. Very easy to follow, interesting stories, you can stop and/or repeat the sections whenever you want. Great thing and definitely will repeat it for some following trip.

The audio guide (in Italian) was extremely well done. Clear, engaging, simple to use. A real value. I used it to go around the palace of Cnosso a second time by myself (after a guided tour). It provided attritional and satisfying information. I was surprised it was that well done!! Also the museum audio guide was excellent!! Highly recommended!

Experience Ancient Crete at your own pace with a combined e-ticket for the island's top two archaeological attractions, the Palace of Knossos and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. Receive your ticket in a separate email from the activity provider. Then travel back in time to experience the grandeur of Crete from the Minoan period to Roman times. Follow the itinerary below: Start at 08:00 from Knossos and enter the Heraklion Archaeological Museum at 13:00 or Start at 10:00 from Knossos and enter the Heraklion Archaeological Museum at 17:00. Remember you must be at the venue entrance 15 minutes before the start time. Discover the Palace of Knossos and its monumental Palace of Minos. Explore the exquisite artifacts exhibited in the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and its unique collection of Minoan artistic masterpieces.

There is no meeting point. The archaeological site of Knossos is at Knossos 714 09, Greece. Knossos is just a 20-minute drive from the city of Heraklion. Or you can take bus 2 from Eleftherias Square - the station is located in front of the Capsis Astoria Hotel- or from the central bus station of Heraklion. The ticket costs 2.50 euros. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is at the center of Heraklion, just two minutes away from Eleftherias square (Xanthoudidou 2 Str., Τ.Κ. 71202, Heraklion, Crete). You can go on foot or by taking a bus or taxi if you don’t live in the city center. The tour ends at the Museum’s courtyard which is located inside the museum. Ending points Palace of Knossos tour: Theatre (inside the archaeological site, not far from the main entrance) Heraklion Archaeological Museum tour: The courtyard of the museum (inside the museum)

  • If you're eligible for a reduced-price or free ticket, this ticket package is not recommended; the reduced-price ticket can be booked onsite but without the audio guide. There are long queues on some days of the week
  •  EU citizens aged 0-25 and Children under 5 from non-EU countries are entitled to free admission, but must show ID card/passport
  • From April 1 to October 31 non-EU citizens, aged 6 - 25 years old, upon presentation of their passport, are entitled to 50% reduced admission
  • From April 1 to October 31 senior citizens over 65 from Greece or other EU states and are entitled to 50% reduced admission

It was amazing. I have an ancient history degree and loved learning the myths and legends of the king of Minos, but actually experiencing it was amazing. I learned so much more in visiting the palace and the museum, it’s amazing value for money. There is a cafe at the palace which is great, they sold gifts and mini statues, would recommend and I will definitely be back!
