Full description

Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Rethymno, and then journey by bus to the stone church in Kotsifu Gorge. Marvel at the steep cliffs and dramatic rock formations of the canyon, and then make your way to the historic plateau of Askifou. Stop to take souvenir photos of beautiful Plakias Bay, and then drive up into the mountains to visit the traditional village of Kallikrati. Swim in the deep blue waters of the Libyan sea. Stop for a coffee in the village of Argyroupolis near the Roman site of Lappa and marvel at the waterfalls. Next, go to beautiful Lake Kournas and enjoy a well-deserved traditional lunch in a typical village tavern at your own expense. Get a magnificent view of the lake and mountains before you drive back to Rethymno and get dropped off at your hotel.

Leuke en gezellige tour. Je ziet veel en genoeg tijd om de dorpen en omgevingen te ontdekken. Leuke gids die alles goed vertelde. Minpuntje; de bus zat vol, waardoor de tour erg druk was. Voor de prijs die je betaald, had er naar onze mening een kleine lunch bij gemogen. Verder was alles prima geregeld. Stipt met ophalen en terugbrengen. Nette bus en goede chauffeur.

Programma was gewijzigd, dat was voor ons geen bewaar aangezien we nog niet in Chania waren geweest. Sympathieke reisleidster Marianne en een chauffeur die z'n vak verstaat en de kolos van een bus door de nauwste doorgangen loodste. Veel gezien en gedaan. Het was een heerlijk dagje!

Het was een geweldig programma met een goede gids die duidelijk Duits en Engels sprak en interessante weetjes over Kreta vertelde. Het is jammer dat je niet kunt zwemmen in het Kournas-meer, maar daar heb je niet veel mee te maken 😊 Fantastisch zwemmen in de Lybische Zee bij Plakias - het was het beste deel van de hele dag. Verfrissend, superschoon, lekker eten in het restaurant aan de standa. Anders goede mogelijkheden om naar het toilet te gaan en iets te drinken te kopen. Precies op de afgesproken tijd thuis. Briljante dag en reis, zeer aan te bevelen!
