Full description
Take a day trip from Kissamos port to the uninhabited island of Gramvousa and Balos Lagoon on a round-trip cruise. Glide past cliffs, stop at pristine golden beaches, swim in crystal-clear waters, and visit Gramvousa Fortress—a castle that offers incredible panoramic views. Depart from Kissamos Port and sail for about an hour in the bay. Approach the island of Gramvousa and then the lagoon of Balos or vice versa, depending on the itinerary route. Cruise against a stunning backdrop of steep cliffs and rocks, incredible secluded beaches, and infinite blue. Have the chance to see a large cave, which is thought to be an ancient shipyard. At the end of the bay, sail between Gramvousa Island and Cape Vouxa. Soak in the scenic landscape against the backdrop of Valenti, Pontikonisi, Balos Lagoon, and Imeri Gramvousa. Arrive in the small port of Gramvousa and enjoy the magical environment created by Cretan nature, the legends, and the area's turbulent history. See the beach is adorned by a lonely shipwreck. See the famous castle of Gramvousa, the highest point on the island that sits atop a steep rock. Enjoy a swim in the area next to the Church of Agioi Apostoloi. After a stop at Gramvousa, get back on the boat to head to the Balos Lagoon. Listed as one of the world's best beaches, this exotic beach lagoon is situated between the Gramvousa Peninsula and Cape Tigani. Choose to swim in the turquoise blue waters, relax on the pink sandy beach, or admire the natural beauty, the rocks, and the cliffs rising above you during your rest at the beach before heading back.

Excellent day trip with enough time at each stop, although could have had a bit more time at Gamavousa as walked to top to visit fortress. Good timing at Balos so not all boats arrive at the same time. Gorgeous lagoon. Despite being a big tourist attraction it didn’t feel overcrowded. Boat was excellent. Would definitely recommend going.

Visited Gramvousa first. Lovely spot, but not enough time here. You had to get back to the boat early to get a seat. By the time you've got off the boat, found a spot to settle, you get about 30 mins fir a swim. The second spot was Balos Lagoon. If you're not lucky enough to get a shady table you're open to the elements. You cannot get back onto the boat once off it as it pulls out into the bay. With 33° and no shade it can be dangerous. The beach here is not as nice as Gramvousa and I would have preferred just to stay at Gramvousa. There were trees and a castle and a shipwreck there. Much more interesting. There were constant queues on the boat for only one till. There should be 2 tills really.

All great. The place was amazing and we had an awesome time. The only inconvenience is that booking was initially set to 10.30 but we were assigned to a boat departing at 11.15 so we had to wait quite a lot before departing. This was not the time I booked for in the platform and the people from the boat told us this change in scheduled departures happens quite often when booking through Get your guide. So, if you want certainty about departing time, book directly with the boat company.
