Full description

Ride on a high-speed catamaran "Elite Jet' from Crete to Santorini on this day trip. Board an airconditioned coach and take a guided sightseeing tour of the island. Visit the white-washed villages of Oia and Fira.  Hop aboard a catamaran at the Port of Rethymno and glide across the water to Thiras port. Transfer to a comfortable and spacious bus and listen as your guide provides you with information about the island and its history. Stop in the unique village of Oia which is built on the northern part of the Caldera rim, Oia offers magnificent views of houses studded along the volcanic rock hillside overlooking both the Mediterranean and Aegean sea. Head to the island’s capital Fira, where you will have plenty of free time to explore the picturesque alleys, admire the incomparable Aegean architecture, shop, or simply enjoy a drink.  Finally, eturn to the port for the trip back to the Port of Rethymno in Crete.

Die Klimaanlage am Boot war enorm kühl und beim ein- und aussteigen war der dieselqualm enorm störend. Hilfreich wäre auch gewesen beim Anstellen für den Bootsvoucher am Morgen einen Hinweis auf den Schalter mit den „get your guide“ Kunden zu platzieren. Mussten uns somit zweimal anstellen. Der Trip war in Summe aber sehr schön. Santorini ist einfach ein Muss-gesehen-haben.

Could have done with better direction when arriving at Retheymon port on which queue to collect your tickets. Your seat was reserved so no need to run to get to the ship to get a seat. The sea jet gets you there in 2.5hrs so a lot faster. The coach trip round the island taking in two villages was OK with an option to pay for a small boat trip round the volcano but we did not do this. We did this trip a number of years ago and we were taken to some ruins they were digging up but they don’t do this as part of the trip any more. Shame. All in all you are left to wonder round the two towns on your own. It is expensive to go and everything is expensive to buy but it is a nice island to see. Worth a visit.

Я в восторге!сбылась моя мечта,я увидела белоснежную Фиру!Четкая организация,дисциплинированные туритсты,грамотный экскурсовод.Фира не впечатлила(крайне мало времени),А вот опция:купание на вулканическом пляже удалась:хороший обед,тёплое море,хороший пляж!Рекомендую!
