Trek over rocks and stones, through a forest of thousand-year-old trees, along a river and by freshwater springs. Take in spectacular views of Crete’s most beautiful mountain range and see mountain goats roaming in the wild. At the end of the trek, visit the village of Agia Roumeli that boasts numerous taverns and shops. excellent hike and very good organization of the tour. the bus picked us up at the time specified and everything was in order. the hike was enjoyable and at the end there was more than enough time to wait for the ferry and bus tour back while at the beach.

The activity was well organized, I don't have any complaints. The bus arrived on time in the pick-up spot, we had out tickets for the Gorge and the boat in the end handed to us fast. But the experience is another thing, if you tou're in Crete for a beach vacations, relaxing and don't have lot's of experience doing this long walks, then don't buy this actitivy, buy something fun like a ride on a boat or seeing another island. I went just because my partner really wanted and it was a RIP in my knees, I was dead the rest of our vacations, pain in the muscles. Keep in mind that is 16km but you have to walk in other spots too, we walked 21km that day.

Easy pick up and drop off (though it's a long ride). But the hike was tougher than I expected! Start to finish it took us about 5 hours to do, and we are in fair shape for guys in our late twenties. Amazing views though and a fun village at the end for a debrief with the group. Highly recommend!
